Our Story
4 generations of winegrowers, lovers of wine and of their land…
Laurent, Clément et Timothée, independent winegrowers, in search of authenticity and uniqueness
Today we arrive with several goals in mind: Reveal in our champagnes all the quintessence and richness of our terroir. Create more authentic wines, made with respect for our environment, biodiversity and our soils.
We are full of ideas and dynamism to achieve virtuous practices to maintain a beautiful harmony between the winegrower and the nature that surrounds him.
Our will is clearly the search for uniqueness. To achieve this, we rely on what makes our job: the quality of the soil and our grapes.
Laurent, Clément et Timothée
Originally, Henri Hervieux and Juliette Dumez, our great grandparents.
Henri Hervieux, our great-grandfather, originally from Pussay in Essonne, joined the 1914 -1918 war front and arrived in Champagne at Sacy. There he met Juliette Dumez, a young girl from a long-standing family of winegrowers. She passed on this passion to him, they married in 1920 and together created Champagne Hervieux-Dumez.
André and Simone Hervieux, our grandparents
Son of Henri, André Hervieux arrived in his turn at the beginning of the 1950s on the family farm, and naturally took the path to the vineyards. Dynamic and visionary, he develops the estate and invests in what is dear to him, the terroir. It was with this couple André and Simone that the champagne house gained momentum and expanded.
Bruno et Laurent Hervieux, our fathers
When they arrived in the 70s and 80s, Bruno and Laurent, wine lovers, proudly continued this family epic. Two brothers, 2 complementary characters who will know how to sublimate the Hervieux-Dumez champagnes, bringing them that perfect balance which today makes the style and the success of the House.
